The game park area of the lodge stretches out over 3’400 hectares. The game is divided in a small game and a big game. The Omaruru Game Lodge is situated in the small game (400 ha) which is adjacent to the Omaruru river. The bush house as well as the landing strip and hangars are situated in the big game park. The big game has various waterholes and ponds as well as a viewing platform – the Octagon.
On the waterholes visitors will encounter all African antelopes and quite sure also the elephants. A highlight is cresting the house mountain. There are 184 staircases leading to the top where one has breathtaking views over the bush land of Namibia.
The game park is unique in Namibia. It has one of the highest live stock, inhabited by most of all Namibian species. With a high likelihood visitors will experience breathtaking moments with the Namibian wildlife.
We suggest staying a few days to ideally combine relaxing days in the green of the lodge as well as game drives in the smaller and big game.
